Our physio exercise classes (PEC) are supervised group sessions that incorporate Pilates and a range of weighted exercises to improve muscle strength, posture and flexibility. Participants will be given an individualised exercise program to use in the class, as a result, PEC is suitable for people of any age and ability.

PEC are designed to:

  • Strengthen muscles
  • Improve postural strength
  • Rehabilitate following an injury or surgery
  • Promote injury prevention
  • Improve flexibility and fitness

How to begin

Following a thorough assessment with a physiotherapist, participants will be familiarised with their individualised program and the equipment, over a series of 1 on 1 sessions (typically 2-3). Once you feel confident with the equipment and your exercises, you will graduate to group classes. With a maximum of 5-6 people in each class, you will receive plenty of individual guidance to progress you toward your goals.

What to bring

  • Comfortable clothing for exercise
  • Socks as shoes are discouraged when using the Pilates equipment (Pilates socks are available for purchase)
  • A water bottle (water cups are also available at the clinic)

Cancellations

We require 24 hours notice to cancel as our classes have limited places and cancellation fees may apply. Booking in advance is recommended to secure your desired class time.

Private health fund rebates are applicable.
