Maddie graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2019 and was awarded with a University Merit Award. Maddie began her career working with adults living with disabilities before finding her passion in the paediatric field. She has extensive experience and knowledge working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Maddie values the importance of movement for a child’s ability to learn, play, navigate their environment, and develop their independence. Holistically supporting a child’s development using multi-disciplinary approaches is at the core of Maddie’s practice as a paediatric physiotherapist.

Being an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Maddie is passionate about using her lived experience and understanding to empower her clients and advocate for inclusion.

  • Australian Physiotherapy Association – Paediatric Physiotherapy Level 1 Qualification (2024)
  • Training to use the ‘Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination’ (HINE) as a tool to screen for Cerebral Palsy in infants (2024)
  • Kew Word Sign Australia – Basic Key Word Sign Workshop (2024)
  • Australian Physiotherapy Association – Paediatric Physiotherapy Level 2 Qualification (due to complete 2025)
  • The Ehlers Danlos Society – Ehlers Danlos Syndrome ECHO Multidisciplinary Team Practice (due to complete 2025)

FUN FACT

Maddie is a big music fanatic and if she’s not at work, it’s almost guaranteed that she’s listening to music. Maddie has synaesthesia meaning she often sees colours while listening to music.
