I hope you are all staying active during winter and in good health. We have been busy over recent months with some exciting updates…

Clinic upgrades

Some of you would already know that this week, our new clinic at 222 Kensington Road, Marryatville is open! We have re-located our Burnside Hospital clinic into larger, upgraded premises, just a few minutes down the road.

In conjunction with this move, we have decided to make the Findon Swim School practice a hydrotherapy-focused centre, whilst our physio services will be available from three main locations: Prospect, Marryatville and Blackwood.

We are excited to have now three independent clinics to work closely with the hospital and private hydrotherapy services across Adelaide metro with a growing staff of near 30.

Our Standing Up For Hips + Knees program that incorporates revolutionary pain science for people living with osteoarthritis (OA) is going from strength to strength. We now have two other private physio practices in Adelaide providing the program.

Looking back, we have come a long way from humble beginnings in North Adelaide and the Grange golf club in 2002 with 1.5 staff!

Staff updates

Firstly, I’d like to acknowledge the contributions of three physiotherapists who have been with us for some time:  Shannon Watchman, Sarah Biermann and Chris Hadjinicolau. All three have decided to travel and work overseas and whilst we are sad to see them go, they do so with our blessing – I did the same thing 20 years ago!

Their departure has provided an opportunity for three terrific recruits in Tom Setchell and Kelsey Lamont who are consulting at Prospect and Anita Pipprell who is consulting at Blackwood. They each come with previous private practice experience and enthusiasm.

Our practice manager Kate Brown who came to The Physio Clinic with a wealth of health business knowledge has been instrumental in helping us move over to a new cloud-based software program for our bookings and notes which should improve your ease of booking in with us and storing your health records.

We also congratulate Erin Ly, our Blackwood-based physio, who is soon to become a new mum in November and we wish Erin and her family all the very best!

To our clients and supporters, we thank you for your loyalty and support of our business. Its evolution is designed to better assist you all in the future with improved facilities and patient-centric services.

Your feedback is always welcome.

Best regards
